Declaring a major
First-year students who are interested in declaring a major start the process during the Winter term. Visit our Declaring your major webage for specific instructions, departmental information sessions and advice on selecting courses for Fall 2012.
Students should be sure to discuss any second year course selection issues with their academic advisor before leaving campus in April, as Fall course selection is scheduled for June 4 - 9, when students are off campus.
Your academic advisor
Perhaps the most important thing for you to remember is to contact an advisor whenever you do not understand something, when you need to change your courses, declare a major or change your plan, or when you have any other questions or concerns regarding your particular plan. We are here to help you, so please come to see us.

Academic offences - what you need to know!
All students should make themselves aware of the types of academic offenses that exist—things like plagiarism and cheating—and the things that you need to do to avoid those offenses. The Avoiding Academic Offenses link will take you to a page that provides that information.
Academic standing - understanding your grades!
You need to be aware of your academic standing and what that means for you as a student each term you study. Learn more about understanding your academic standing and your grade report and contact your academic advisor frequently for assistance.
