Get involved with Waterloo Arts
When you speak at a career night, you mentor students, you connect with alumni and you share your insight and advice as conversations are sparked. It’s a rewarding experience without an extensive time commitment. Why not take the opportunity to share your story, expertise and advice with students and alumni. It’s worth every minute.

Reunions
Volunteer to help organize and implement a reunion. Successful reunions are those where Class Representatives encourage the participation of their former classmates. The Faculty of Arts Alumni Officer will facilitate planning and logistics such as promotion and registration administration.
Contact the plcook [at] uwaterloo [dot] ca (Alumni Advancement Officer) to help your reunion happen!
Events
The Arts Alumni Office can assist with special events by consulting on the planning process, assisting with promotions or helping run the actual event. At any given event, alumni volunteers can help to set up a location, take registrations or introduce and thank speakers.
To find out about upcoming special event volunteer opportunities, contact the plcook [at] uwaterloo [dot] ca (Alumni and Communications Officer).
Guest speaker
There are often opportunities for you to share your expertise as a Waterloo Arts grad. Participate in career nights for current undergraduates, or volunteer your time to mentor a junior undergraduate in your area study.
Contact the plcook [at] uwaterloo [dot] ca (Alumni Advancement Officer) to find out how you can share your experience.
Fundraising opportunities
In a time of decreasing public funding for post-secondary education and increasing demands on the post-secondary education system, it is extremely important for universities to raise funds from other sources, including government granting agencies, research contracts, corporate sponsorship and philanthropic gifts from alumni, friends and industry.
Waterloo Arts has a full-time Development Officer who works with faculty members, administrators and volunteers, to raise funds for the Faculty's many worthy projects.
Alumni volunteers may help raise funds for the Faculty by soliciting gifts from their peers or companies, championing a specific cause, or helping identify prospective donors.
To find out more about how you can help raise funds for your Faculty, contact the Alumni Advancement Officer.
To make a personal gift to the Faculty now, please visit our Support Arts page.
Hire a co-op student
