What is Social Development Studies?

  • An interdisciplinary program administered by Renison University College at Waterloo
  • Integrates courses in sociology, psychology, and social work
  • Designed for students interested in the helping professions

Social Development Studies courses emphasize the interdependence of the social sciences. Particular attention is given to the development of human personality in relation to major social institutions and cultural traditions. Emphasis is also placed on the development of certain contemporary social problems, while courses in social work give you an opportunity to study various types of social intervention.
