Book News, Inc., 08/01/95:
The first edition (1984) is cited in BCL3, Sheehy, and ARBA
1985. The second edition updates the first and adds significant new
entries either previously missed or having achieved importance
since. It contains approximately 2,500 subject and biographical
entries, and some 20,000 references. Biographies are now in the
fourth volume as a unit rather than mixed with subject entries. As in
the first edition, ten areas of psychology are identified and
represented: applied, clinical, cognitive, developmental, educational,
measurement, personality, physiological, social, and history/theory.
Volume 4 includes, along with the biographies, a 350-page
comprehensive bibliography, an appendix (Ethical Principles of
Psychologists and Code of Conduct), and name and subject
indexes. Annotation copyright Book News, Inc. Portland, Or.
