I recently removed, cleaned and painted the throttle linkage of my Guilia spider. Each end of the main rod is held in place by a machined, "L" shaped aluminum part. These were replaced in later vehicles by a rubber bushing and a cheap piece of bent steel.

Both my spider and parts car differed from the parts diagram in the attachment of the gas peddle which on mine had the bolt (with a tapered head) enter from the left side of the car and fit into acountersunk hole.
